  1. Yes Yes…..Let the crap that went on there be gone. Let’s give it another try…

  2. If you can do this without a lot of money, I say go for it, what do you have to lose? If you have to put up a lot of capital, I say don’t waste your time.

I know that many trader at FLR are requesting that some of the banned sites be allowed to come back on, and I for one, am in favor of that. I still get a few trades here and there, and would love to be able to have more sites (good ones) back again.

    Thanks,
    ~Penney~

  3. If you dont have to pay an arm & a leg for it and it will help your business expand I will say go for it.

  4. oh absolutely. Myself as a trader would like to see a few site return to flr so we can trade them, if not, you are limiting your freebie site to only a few forums. FLR will always be my home and I’m sure many will say the same thing, so if you are limiting us, you are limiting your business too.

    Lets all make money :)

  5. If it doesn’t cost money and doesn’t need to change the affiliates , i would say go for it

    thx
    Praveen

  6. Thanks guys for the feedback! I would love to hear from the “No” voters too as to why it would be a negative? It appears that this is open to any site owner that isn’t a scam site (which I assume I’m not :) ), and hopefully would not limit my business practices.

  7. Actually, I don’t care to share my comments and have everyone read them. If you really want my opinion you can send me an email.

  8. The only negative would be if you were being charged for it, or restricted in some way, in which case it would not be worth it… as others have said. If not then absolutely, go for it!

I would love to see more of my favorite sites back on FLR (especially an excellent network like freebies4me!) . What’s in the past should remain in the past and we should all look forward to a better future!

Welcome back I say, and if indeed you are being invited back freely, then bravo to FLR for doing this!

  9. Hey Chris. From my name here you can obviously see that I highly dislike FLR. I will tell you why:

    1. Admin — He sees his forum dying yet still maintains his tyrannical rule over the forum.
    2. Mod non-presence — Recently trade complaints have not been handled by ANY mods and traders go unpunished for REAL crimes like scamming.
    3. Lies — why make a congress just to “fire” them all? If you were a victim of extortion in the past you can almost certainly expect it in the future again.
    4. Traffic — The only traffic through there now-a-days are the overly patient traders who have bought into Leo’s stories of promised traffic.

I say let them die out and let other forums take over.

  10. Yeah I feel Freebies 4 me should be on FLR. This site is a great site to promote plus it’s great for beginners. They have nice bonuses, offers credit really well with good support..

  11. I appreciate your honesty, and I am completely there with you on your concerns. I am trying to keep an open mind here though and understand what the bulk of the traders want. Personal feelings sometimes have to be put aside. My risks in this case seem to be very minimal…if it were to compromise the quality of my site, I would avoid it at all costs. However this seems like it should benefit the end users and for that I am interested.

  12. I’d like to see more sites return. What ever happened to having a 2nd chance?
FLR HATER- Must be the one getting banned on all the forums. Don’t agree with anything.

  13. The only way I would Consort with the Enemy is if I am in Power within the Site and we Both know that’s not True. Put up your time, effort and money into a great Promo and Boom, Crash, kapuuuz your OUT! that’s my 2cts.

  14. I haven’t been doing a great deal of trading lately but I say that if will benefit the end user and not cost you an arm and a leg why not. I’m not an FLR lover but I’m not a hater either.

I do feel like F4M is one of the premier networks in this business and very desirable to have. As you say, personal feelings must be put aside. It’s really not about feelings is it?

  15. As others have stated, if it is free go for it as it can’t hurt your business. Will it bring you more business? Probably not at this stage unless FLR gets a fair bit of work and possibly an ownership with an owner that wants to build the business back up.

There hasn’t been much new introductions on FLR lately. And those newbies are making it to Cali very quickly.

In the end, can’t hurt…may bring you more business.

    That’s my two cents.

  16. I think yes give it another try with FLR.I wouldnt pay anything at all since FLR realizes they need sites back they have to be able to let all owners and networks have a chance to come back that have proved themselves in the past to be reliable.

  17. Without getting into a long drawn-out answer, my answer would be no. I would find it hard to support the type of owner FLR has . . . or anyone with such inept professional ethics.
If you’d like more details, you’re always welcome to personally email me. But, this is your call Chris, and whether or not you feel it would help your personal business.

  18. Thanks for the continued comments. I wholeheartedly agree that the past indiscretions of Admin do taint the FLR, but with this move it seems as though they are taking a step in the direction of listening to the loudest few that have sounded off. I will of course tread lightly, but I think opening it up does help those referrers who still participate in FLR to have some resurgence in new referrals (maybe). This costs me nothing, and hopefully can bring back even a fraction of the success to you folks that had so much of it in years past.

    Keep the great comments coming!

  19. Well, my personal opinion I think a lot of us dont go over there but once in awhile, I think I would not put money time and effort in it, IF you have money to gain then fine If not I wouldnt put money in there to join. We are still waiting on that traffic. Good luck to ya!

  20. I for one would spend more time working at FLR if they allow some of the sites back. This site is one I have been hoping would go back the most. Good luck with the realignment and don’t let FLR take advantage.

  21. I applaud your decision to ask for comments, Chris! In a way, I would like to see your sites back on FLR, since it would benefit me personally. OTOH, past performance of FLR dictates future caution. And you DO want to be careful who you associate yourself with, in this business, where impeccable integrity can be so hard to find.

If I were you, I don’t think I would venture back to FLR without a signed, notarized agreement that Freebies4Me

    1) will have a free trading membership on FLR for at least the next 2-3 years, and
    2) will be granted its own forum area for news and comments, at no additional cost.
    3) You, of course, would still be free to leave FLR at any time.

In the past, I think the overwhelming trader devotion to Freebies4Me has, at times, caught FLR by surprise — shocked them, even. Despite that fact, they have stubbornly refused to give you your own forum, demanded outrageous fees, etc. Sure, give them another chance, if you like — but these requested incentives would ensure some benefit to you for doing so.

I’m not usually one to go in for demands and legal entanglements, and I don’t want to sound petty. But I personally would never go back without some guarantees. Who has time for all these off again, on again, games? That’s my two cents.

  22. @jb888 – I truly appreciate your comments. Here’s the deal and how it is all working with FLR
    – No charge to show up on Trade Manager
    – $100/3 months for showing up as a “Listed” site
    – $400/3 months for showing up as a “Approved” site

I am hesitant to pay in at this point because I don’t see the value of a subforum. I have many subforums elsewhere and while they are great for answering questions and posting promos, I can do all of that on this site (freebies4me.net/network). The main thing this does is allow you folks to trade my site on FLR, which I think is a huge advantage and win-win.

@Sable24x7/@Melissa thank you very much…I agree and will not allow any shenanigans

On a side note…what happened to FLR this morning? I’m getting a GoDaddy parked page.

  23. No, Don’t give yourself a headache, their was alot of issue going on @ flr and you should do more research. Find out what the other traders of flr think of what’s going on @ flr. This is one of the reasons I came to freebie4me, too much politics!

  24. On a business standpoint it would probably be good to realign. I stopped trading due to unfair business on the flr. Dont know why they even banned freebies4me.
I know i was always paid by you guys promptly, one of my best sites. Thanks again and if you need help or know of a better trading forum to go on im all open ears. Thanks Chris
    Jaylee

  25. Thanks guys! I hear ya loud and clear. I will tell you why we were banned in the first place…

I opted out of the rules FLR put in place at the time, which required me to use only their approved affiliates (which to you means less offers, lower credit weights, etc). The other piece of it was a hefty fee to stay on board.

The change now seems to be a more open forum, kind of like the old days. They are still filtering out the bad sites (know scammers), but the rules seem a bit more fair. I have nothing invested in this, all it means is that you can conduct trades on FLR. I will not be posting any promos there (the site you are on now is the absolute best place to find out what’s going on with F4M). You can find me on a number of other forums where I have a subforum. If things pick up at FLR, I may consider a subforum there (the terms are MUCH more favorable than they were in the past).

Keep the great comments coming! I love hearing your feedback :)

  26. I was going to say go for it if it’s free. It’s smart to spread yourself out. Now that I see that he is charging you, I say hell no. He’s proven what he is. I can’t believe that some people still don’t see it. If you do choose to return there, I doubt anyone wil hold it against you.

  27. I guess it’s a coin toss, at this point, Chris. But I still vote no. It’s no big deal to me, whatever you decide.

If I owned F4Me, I would probably be going overboard in the wrong direction. My site would list all the the forums where my site had a presence, and would show FLR as banned. Guess I wouldn’t make a good freebie site owner, would I? :)

  28. @jb888 – I think if you stick to your convictions, usually you can’t go wrong. I think the ONLY thing steering me in this direction is the fact that Admin’s role has really really been reduced. As long as I don’t have to pay anything, am not forced to conform to their one-sided business practices, and referrals start to flow again, I don’t really have a problem with it.

I do respect your position though and maybe I’m naive :)

@Braden – it is free to be listed in Trade Manager, and that is all I’m doing right now. If I want a subforum I have to pay, but that’s pretty much the case on all forums now (except TFX and A4F). FLR’s fee is actually cheaper than Calistyle, so maybe they are really turning a leaf?

  29. You know, if all you owners got together and rallied against paying forums to be listed on their site, things would change. This supposed to be FREEBIE sites. People really are trying anything they can to make a buck off each other. What would it do to payouts and or offer weights if you didn’t have to pay anything to have a subforum (other than proove you aren’t a scam)? It’s just getting less and less FUN all the time.

  30. @Twon – I agree, and that is why I will not pay to be listed on forums. Most forums generate enough revenue on their own through various channels (banners, PPD type programs, running their own freebie sites, selling training ebooks, etc). The forums do drive a lot of traffic to our sites, but its of mutual benefit so paying for a listing is counter-productive from a site owner’s standpoint.

  31. I have been to your site before. The more I learn, the more I keep coming back! :-)
